Absolute create new site for Hollywood star

Who is Gil Darnell you ask? Well, remember the name. Gil is a Hollywood based actor, star of stage and screen and is a face you will most likely recognise after his role in US hit TV series Entourage and commercial work for Audi, along with appearances on UK TV in shows such as Hollyoaks, Holby City, The Bill, Doctors and Brookside. His latest appearance on the silver screen was alongside Gabriel Byrne in 2013\'s "All Things to All Men".
With much of his content scattered throughout different social media channels, it was tough for people to get a full picture of "who Gil Darnell is" without visiting a buck of different locations and joining the dots. Absolute came up with the idea of an "online business card" of sorts, a slick, single page site that would allow Gil to highlight his achievements, filmography and skill-set to contacts when he is on-the-go.
We created a site for Gil that collates all his IMDB data, biography, contact details, statistics, portfolio and showreel all in one place. The site is a fully responsive design, so users can get access to the content and get the same slick experience when browsing on smartphone and tablet.
High resolution images are served up for retina and other high-density devices, and content is scaled down when browsing on mobile to ensure super-quick loading of the important content. Coupled with some smooth parallax scrolling and much of the effects rendered in the browser, the new Gil Darnell site has some really clever stuff going on under the bonnet (which we will go into in more detail in a future post..)
