We like to think we’re an innovative and creative bunch here at Absolute, producing work that is brave for our clients, and work that pushes boundaries that most agencies wouldn’t dare to do. Take our digital projects for example, rather than just accepting an off-the-shelf CMS (content management system) as the solution for some of our clients websites, we decided to create our own CMS for when projects require a bit more of a flexible approach.

We do realise that when it comes to Content Management Systems, the list is endless, and we also appreciate that there are some fantastic powerful solutions out there which are far more appropriate solutions for a clients specific needs. For example, here at Absolute we use Magento for any eCommerce sites we are commissioned to build, and we also partner with TERMINALFOUR for University websites, as their global solution is specifically designed and created for Higher Education institutes.

However, we sometimes find that something a little different is required for our clients. They needed a system that offered a bespoke solution to fulfil their unique requirements, whilst also allowing for more creative freedom in the design process. That’s why we’ve been developing our own CMS for quite a few years now, and it’s called ‘Absolute Control’.

We’ve had some great feedback from clients too, with a lot of comments about how easy-to-use and intuitive the CMS interface is. Some of our clients even picked it up and ran with it before we even had a chance to train them! Most out of the box CMS solutions allow for bespoke front end development, but Absolute Control also allows us to customise the back end control panel to suit the needs of our customers, which is one of the reasons it is so easy to use! However, we do still like to provide thorough training so that clients can understand its full potential. We do like to practise what we preach here at The Chapel, and so it was only right that we built our own website using Absolute Control.

Rather than waffle on about all of the great features and benefits of ‘Absolute Control’, we’ve produced a video that explains it much better.

We also thought it would be a good idea to take a moment out to reflect on some of the great digital projects we have been involved with over the past few years. Here you’ll find a list of websites that are built and client maintained in ‘Absolute Control’.

These websites still look good and function as well as they did the day they were launched, and in this day and age, thats quite rare!
