Craghoppers Peru: A photographic journey

It's not every day you get to go on a trip like this. But for our in-house photographer, one meeting in the photography and video studios here at Absolute sparked a conversation with the right people that ultimately resulted in a box of outdoor gear turning up at the studio and the anticipation for a trip of a lifetime began. That box of outdoor gear contained eleven items of Craghoppers ‘Nosilife’ insect repellant clothing and two ‘AquaDry’ coats - meaning he was all set for anything a Peruvian adventure could throw his way.

In total, the journey would be over 7,000 miles, on seven aeroplanes, five river boats, one train, one car, countless minibuses, one coach, four days of walking and would last just short of three weeks. The aim was to collect images and experiences along the way. So on a cold September morning, with a case full of camera kit and Craghoppers gear packed, he set off from Manchester and the photographic journey to Peru began…
